We just learned from Variety that Sony Pictures answered the question, "Who ya gonna call?" when faced with the decision to hire a new scribe to rewrite "Ghostbusters 3" for the studio by handing the ink and paper over to "Men in Black 3" writer Etan Cohen. The third installment of everyone's favorite Ghost Hunters (you wish Grant & Jason) is expected to find original cast members Harold Ramis, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson and Bill Murray passing the torch to a new generation of ghostbusters.

The only question that now remains is: Will Bill Murray sign on to appear/star in the film? The thesp has revealed numerous times that he didn't want to take part in "Ghostbusters 3" because "they just don't have a really good script." He has also stated that rewrites were needed, and if the script gets fixed, then he'd consider reprising his Peter Venkman role. So, now that we're back to square one, and Murray got his wish -- Will he make his return as Venkman?
Thoughts anyone?
