Rooney Mara "Nancy" Hated Her Role & The 2010 "A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET" Remake

I didn't particularly like or dislike her in ANOES. To be honest, the only reason I say she's obviously talented is because David Fincher saw enough in her to cast her in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. I know that Fincher is no idiot so she must be doing something right. That and Catwoman were the two most coveted female roles of the year.

Catwoman should have been Olivia Wilde, I don't know if she auditioned but she would have been a lot sexier than Anne Hathaway. Don't get me wrong, Anne Hathaway is very cute but she just doesn't have that sex appeal that Catwoman should embody. Maybe she pulled it off in the film but I'm not stoked on her being Catwoman yet.

Lot of Anger in this thread so far and I can't blame you guys. Whether you liked the remake or not, it seemed like she was talking about horror in general rather than just the remake.

I like Rooney Mara, but this kinda pisses me off. I wasn't a huge fan of the NOES remake, but it had it's moments. Most up and coming actresses would kill to have gotten that role. She got the role because she is a good actress. I bet her sister Kate Mara would have died for the role. You very rarely see her in main roles. I agree this a taboo thing to say.

I agree with all of you, her acting in the NOES remake was definitely nothing special, and this makes her looks like a stuck up little brat. Maybe Freddy will get revenge on her... :Freddy:

I just lost any respect I had for her. You should be more greatful, you stupid beeotch! Ppl hated the remake and now there gonna hate you even more. Why now? Why tell us now, a freaking year and half later that you didnt want to be in the remake. Step down, next time you dont want to do a roll. Your acting was freaking terrible in that movie anyhow!

well, it's nice to know we wont see this douche in the sequel, whenever it finally arrives. She provided one of the more lackluster performances of the film; initially I felt it was all on the script, but in hindsight, you can certainly see that she didn't put forth much effort.

Amazing how shooting a film like TGWTDT can go to ones head. Not every film is going to absolutely remarkable Rooney, if you can't see that, it may be best that you walk away from the business now. BTW, I wouldn't even mind seeing her replaced in the next two Dragon Tattoo flicks, she's so horribly dull in comparison to Noomi Rapace, it's almost unbelievable.
