This movie is terrible. I'll admit it. It was a very low-budget attempt to cash in on the success of The Blair Witch Project. A psychic, a ghost hunter, a history major, and a filmmaker agree to spend the night in a haunted plantation in St. Francisville, Louisiana. Although the director claims from the very beginning that "everything we are about to see is real," it is blatantly obvious that the participants are actors... and not very good ones, at that. The film gives the history of Madame LaLaurie (a socialite who tortured her slaves) and an overview of the ghost hunting equipment. Now, I'm a sucker for two things: found footage films and ghost-hunting. This movie has both. So, maybe that's why I'm recommending it. I honestly think it had potential to be a great film. There's one scene that takes place in the attic that caught me by surprise and was done very well. So, if you've got time to kill, give it a chance.
