"Night of the Living Dead 2012" to Feature a BUB Appearance?

Back in February, I brought you the teaser for the upcoming "Night of the Living Dead 2012" (CLICK HERE) Now, some interesting news is coming out of the camp again. Posted not long ago on the group's social media was the following:

Rumours are Buzzing.... Will we see an appearance from Bub in Night of the Living Dead (2012)??? Director Matt Cloude remains quiet on the subject...

This leads to interesting possibilities. Is it just the character of Bub making an appearance? Is Sherman Howard reprising his role from the original "Day of the Dead", and if so, how does Bub tie in to the events of this film? Judith O'Dea is reprising her role as Barbara for the movie, so it's not out of the realm of possibility to see this.
