This is the sort of thing that shakes a community to the core, particularly so among the 'Bid, where we gather to share our love for the escapism and fantasy provided by films. These poor people were there to see the hero triumph over evil and instead met with real life evil that no one should ever have to face. My heart breaks for the victims and their families.

Warner Bros May Cancel All "The Dark Knight Rises" Showings

Despite the shootings, "The Dark Knight Rises" grossed a whopping $30 million from its midnight screenings, which is the second best result of all time, just behind "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2" ($43 million).

"The Avengers" only brought in $18 million from midnight screenings, but has gone on to gross $1.46 billion. "The Dark Knight" grossed $18.4 million and went on to set the opening weekend record with $158.4 million.

Meanwhile, The Wrap has learned that Warner Bros is considering canceling all "The Dark Knight Rises" showings. "Warner was watching the situation and still considering whether to take further measures beyond canceling the Paris premiere, including canceling screenings at theater chains," said an executive from the studio.

Ive been depressed ever since ive heard the news.I went to see the film that morning after I heard the news.I feel bad like the rest of you do for the family's who lost there loved ones.I think as far as the future of movies goes the fall out won't be as bad as what people think. They might do the metal detector thing in colorado but I don't see it being country wide.I hope not anyway. As much as I hate that it happened at The Dark Knight Rises believe me if it had been at horror film it would have been much worse as far as the whole movie's creates violence goes.We all know thats garbage.Movies don't make killers.Thats just stupid.I know theres been some stuff said on that end but it hasn't been as bad as it would have had it been a horror film.I remember back in the day listening to that crap from all the haters out there.Anyway Booman great job on your post as always.
